Yarns or Patterns I want to Try

Knitter's Review highlighted Rowan Purelife British Sheep Breeds today. I would love to make that one IK cardigan (pattern on my coffee table) using that yarn. It knits up quickly, too, which is exciting since I'm kind of tired of all these skinny needles and fine yarn (which is why I'm a little hesitant to start my shadow shawl from Vivian H.'s book. I always buy stuff for a project I nearly immediately lose interest in . . . though I LOVE the yarn I bought to make that shawl).
Anyway, I wonder if Mike would care if I bought the Rowan yarn for that cardigan even though I have so many other things I should be doing.
